Why is My Phone Asking for a Google Login?
Solution
T-Mobile G1 - Google Issue:
Unlocking your HTC handset is the easy part; simply insert the SIM card you wish to use, turn on the handset and when prompted, enter the code we provided you with. If that doesn’t work, try turning off your phone, and removing the battery for 30 seconds to restart it, and then try again.
Occasionally, customers are prompted to enter a Google login. Not to worry, this simply means the handset needs to be activated.
To activate the handset, you will need to obtain or borrower a T-Mobile SIM card, but this is only needed to complete the activation process. Once you have unlocked your handset, you will be able to use whichever SIM card you wish.
